Some of you know that in addition to quilting, my other hobbies include a little wood working.  My first project was our king sized bed in 2016, shown in our former home.

Later I built a few trays, a work bench, an outdoor table, and a desk top to go over file cabinets.

A few weeks ago I needed a new project so I decided to make a couple of baby quilts from scraps. This is the results...First is the girl version.

 Then the boy version.

I guess I'm old fashioned in that I think certain colors are more appropriate for girls a...

I wanted the "twins" dressed for Christmas, with this being the first Christmas in our new home.  The twins are the vintage twin beds I found and refinished earlier this year. I'm sure I've posted about them before. This is the grandkids room although they've never spe...

Finished the Remembrance Quilt.  I really like the pattern I used. It is called Nova. However, you never know what it will turn out like when you use shirts.  I tried to separate the shirts into lights and darks, but there were some that could have gone either way...

I've been without a project for a while but am excited to have two new ones to work on.  First is a remembrance quilt.  I haven't made one in over a year so I am thankful for the opportunity to help bring someone comfort in their loss. This one is made from the shirts...

Looking for a pattern for a gift quilt I stumbled across this one by Corey Yoder.

I decided making it from scraps would be what I wanted to do, and not the colors suggested by the recipient of the gift quilt.  Yeah, really, who asks the recipients what colors they want...

Hi Friends.  I'm still here.  Have some things in the works, quilt-wise.  I finished the green and blue Edinburg square quilt and decided it isn't what I need for the gift quilt so it's on our bed!

 Love these colors.

I've been working on another project that...

Or I should say, I'm back to sewing again. We have moved, unpacked, are fairly organized, sold our old home, and I am ready to sew again. I need a gift quilt in a few months, so I evaluated my stash and some patterns.  I had a lot of greens and blues, so I decided to m...
