For a baby girl

Hi quilter friends. I made a little baby quilt I'd like to share with you today. I used three designs from Elizabeth Hartman's book Fancy Forest. It didn't take too long to put together. It is rather small, but hopefully bright enough to be loved by a child. The recipient in mind just entered this world a few days ago, at almost 10 pounds and 22 inches long! She is the daughter of a co-worker. I had planned on making her a quilt but just hadn't gotten around to it, then she came two weeks early. Nothing like an early birth to get you motivated. A Little Finish and a New Project

Happy fall ya'll! Oh wait, it is still summer. Sure doesn't feel like it. Today was a perfect weather day here in east Tennessee. Got in a five mile run, started a new project, was very inspired by our guest speaker at our Village Quilter's Guild meeting. A great day. First, here is a little finish I completed last weekend. I had lots of left over One Block Wonder hexagrams. This little guy will probably go in my office at work. I was so worried my backing fabric wasn't going to be big enough, I sewed a couple of 2 1/2" strips to it. Rather than pin my backings on my machine leaders, I've been using the rod/clamp system.
