Ever since I saw the Fancy Forest quilt that Elizabeth Hartman designed, I've been smitten. It is so adorable. My new grandson is supposed to arrive in a few weeks, which means I only have a few weeks to get this done.
I am making the smaller version, which is one of the quarter sections of the bigger quilt. I think I like it better with the colors mixed up. I just started it this evening and here is my progress.
The foxes were pretty easy to make. The bunny, well...it has a lot of little pieces. I guess it took about an hour to finish.
Since it is for my son's son, I wanted to add in some of his shirt scraps, but I don't have much to choose from. I picked up the patterned fabric today on the free table at our guild meeting. I want to use both solids and patterned. Trying to decide on fabrics is taking way more time than actually making it.
I'll be sharing my progress, so stay tuned!
