Easy Quilt for Beginners

I was inspired by Pinterest to come up with some kind of easy quilt pattern for our Threads of Love quilting group at our church. We have a new session coming up in a couple of weeks and I was asked to lead this one. I don't think you can get any easier than this one.

The size makes it nice for a toddler or baby quilt, a wall hanging, a table topper, or a smallish sized lap quilt. It measured out at 40x52 or 41x53 including the binding.

I used all scraps on this blue/teal one, so I did have to piece the back.

Stripe bindings are my favorite. I love how it adds something a little special to a quilt.

I quilted the above with the Floriana pantograph.

I made another one to show the group what it would look like with grey for the background. This was for a friend as a dining room table topper. I attempted to use the colors she has in her dining room.

Again, made mostly from scraps although I did purchase two fat quarters for this one.

Used the Filagree pantograph on this one.

Another striped binding.

If you need a quick and easy quilt for yourself or a gift this is perfect. Here is a link to the pattern.
