Bright Spring Color

March 30, 2018

I've wanted to share these quilts for quite a while.  I made them last fall with my two grandchildren in mind, and a couple of farmhouse twin beds I plan to build.  I pulled from my stash to make them, and couldn't be happier how they turned out.  Super simple pattern using 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" strips and 2 1/2" squares.

I put the white square with a colored strip, then put four together to make a block.  I don't have a pattern but give it a good look and I'm sure you can see how to make it.

For the boy version, I used various scraps of blue/green/gray/teal/turquoise.

And you can see the girl version is lots of scraps in pink/red/yellow/orange.  Can't you just see these on a couple of farmhouse twin beds painted white?  ....with some little throw pillows in like colors.  :)

Thanks for visiting! (or opening the blog post, if you received my email)
