I finished the piecing on the Quarantine quilt and started another. Awaiting on a beautiful floral to arrive for the backing, and then on to the quilting.
Both Keepsake Quilting and Connecting Threads have some beautiful wide backings at a decent price.
After seeing an image on facebook of one woman's unique setting of Bonnie Hunter's Wild and Goosey quilt pattern, I was so enthralled with the design, I just had to try it. Go big or go home right? This pattern has teeny, tiny paper pieced blocks (3" finished), but what I've got right now is time. I always clean up my sewing room after a project. My room was so clean just 3-4 days ago!
I've only made one paper pieced quilt in all of my quilt making, so this was a newish technique for me. I had to look up paper piecing on Youtube to re-remember how to do it, even though I have Bonnie's book. You know how that is, seeing how something is done, is better than just reading how it is done.
The quilt I'm going after has 18 of these big block units, and to be honest, I'm not sure I'll be able to hang with it to make it that big. Might try to figure out a smaller version of it. Or I'll just convince myself it is ok if it takes months/years to complete it and go for the bigger size.
So what quilts have you finished?
